Co-hosted by episode and Owlee Café Studio211 Franklin Street Brooklyn, NY
July 26, 2025 | 5:30PM
Join episode for a conversation between artists Juyon Lee and Noor Chadha on the occasion of Parabolic Traces, Lee’s debut solo exhibition in New York.
The evening will begin with a walkthrough of the exhibition led by Lee, followed by a conversation with Chadha reflecting on the evolution of Lee’s practice and her most recent works.
Juyon Lee is a Seoul-born, Brooklyn-based artist who transforms fragments of memory, time, and space—personally, digitally, and physically—into layered sculptural compositions of image, glass, light, and shadow.
Noor Chadha is a Delhi-born, Cambridge-based artist whose paintings, performances, and artist books explore communal healing, land as breathing body, and the act of letting go.
Together, they will discuss the material and conceptual inquiries of Parabolic Traces, including Lee’s engagement with the poetics of materiality, the condition of mortality, and the experience of time. The conversation will reflect on the tensions between representation and abstraction, the tangible and intangible, and the ways in which Lee’s work navigates the paradoxes of intimacy and distance in a digitized world.
